Things that Fascinate Me

Other Musings
I just can't get enough We all have things that interest us.  Sometimes that interest becomes a fascination.  They become things we can't get enough of.  We read about them, we study them, we attempt them, we teach them. Things that fascinate Neurolinguistic Programming - One of the key elements of NLP is that all change starts within the individual.  I'm fascinated by the notion that if we aren't getting the results we want,  we should do something differently.   I love the notion that there is no failure, only feed back, and that each of us have all of the resources we need inside of us. Automation - Automation is all about freeing up resources.  It is the technique of making a process work by itself without control. What if…

Lead the Willing

Lead the Willing

Leadership
If you want to enjoy success, you will have to lead.  Look around at the most successful people you know, they are leaders.  People follow them. In his timeless classic, The Law of Success in 16-Lessons, Napoleon Hill states, "You cannot enjoy success in life without power, and you can never enjoy power without sufficient personality to influence other people to cooperate with you in a spirit of harmony." In other words, you have to be a leader. Would you want it to be, Well She Made It Through?  Or, would you want it to be something grander? Change is the Law of Life

Achievement
To grow is to change Do you embrace change?  Or, do you resist it? Change by definition means to make or become different.  All progress, all improvement, all movement is the result of change.  In life, we are either growing, or we're dying. We cannot maintain. When we coast we're either go down hill or we're slowing down.  To grow, to reach our potential we must change. The law of life John F. Kennedy called change "the law of life".  He said, "Those who look only to the past or the present are sure to miss the future." You don't want to miss the future, do you? Then we must embrace change. Most of us resist change, because it often creates turmoil or struggle.  That is precisely why we need to embrace it.  Social…

7 Rules to Live By

John Wooden was regarded as one the greatest college basketball coaches of all time.  His UCLA teams won the NCAA national championship 10 out of the 12-years he was the head coach there.  During that time his teams won 88-straight games.  He was named the national Coach of the Year six times. Wooden attributes much of his success to certain philosophies he developed or adopted over time. They became a framework that he called the Pyramid of Success.  That structure was influenced by 7-Rules to Live By given to him by his father. When John Wooden graduated grammar school in Centerton, Indiana, his father, Joshua gave him a graduation gift.  The gift was a $2-dollar bill and a card with a poem on one side and seven rules to live…

7 Great Quotes About the Power of Goals

Uncategorized
Here are seven great quotes about the power of goals.  Let them help you stay motivated to achieve yours. 1. From Tony Robbins: Why I like this quote: Before anything happens in the real world it first has to happen in the mind. Setting goals is the starting point to achievement.  What do you want to create from the invisible, from what is not yet seen in your reality? 2. From Henry David Thoreau: Why I like this quote: Goals are just the starting point.  Many people set goals, but don't take action on those goals.  Once you've identified the dream, you need to lay the foundation -- create a plan for action. 3. From Paulo Coelho Why I like this quote: To hit a target, you have to have…
